Broken Spoon
Over the Christmas period in 2023 one of my friends and I decided to try our hand at brewing beer. The intention was to brew a batch of 50 pints, bottle them up and hand them out to friends and family as a test to see whether producing a larger batch for more commercial purposes was viable. The feedback on the beer was overwhelmingly positive, at this point I decided to also give label design a go (another proof of concept for future batches).
Economically beer brewing seems to be a viable path for me to invest in post uni, my friend and I plan to invest in much larger vats to produce large volumes of beer.
Five Legged Pig
In addition to this our beer was noticed by a local farm shop called Wayside through a friend of a friend. Wayside is producing a batch of cider for this summer season called ‘Five-Legged Pig’ and after seeing the labels I produced for my own beer have asked me to design them a label for their cider.
